Voyager Online Sale

Description
Signed verso wood engraved lettering on driftwood.
The wood was found on Criccieth beach after a sea voyage and a rather violent and abrasive coming ashore. The type of wood is unknown, but Wenham suspects rhododendron.
The words are the first stanza of a poem by Emily Dickinson (1830-1886), but the image Martin had in mind was the imaginary animation of the Voyager spacecraft leaving the solar system and heading out into deep eternity beyond.
A free copy of Martin Wenham’s new book Martin Wenham The Art of Letter Carving, published by Crowood Press (price £25), will accompany each purchase from the exhibition.
