Zig Zag Hedges Fashion

Description
Around Somerby, Rutland, grey day in spring.
This line of zig-zag hedges was in the Secret Valleys of West Rutland. The hedges climbed the hillside to the group of trees centrally at the top. The detail was maintained all the way up the hill, although marginally greater at the bottom. There was an absence of any animals or overt reference to people, yet the regimented way that the hedges marched up the hill showed the power and control of people on the landscape. The changing tone of the grass helped to imply the distance and height of the hill.
