The Bullies Cheap

Description
Original lithograph, proof pull aside from the very small edition of 30.
Printed on Chris Brook paper at the Curwen Studio.
The scene is pictured on a village green with a house seen at the bottom of a slope. Beyond the house rolling orchard country leads into the distance.
A party of teenage boys have ambushed a younger boy. Whilst one of them holds the young boy by the collar of his jacket, the other four have taken his bag from him and are running away down the slope.
This work is distinguished not only by its exceptionally fine chalk work and printing, but also by its sheer vitality and exuberance.
