Bronze from the unique 1935 terracotta, cast in 2020 in an open edition.
This is the only edition in bronze of this sculpture.
Dobson Estate stamp.
Provenance, Dobson Estate.
The first and most diminutive of the studies for the monumental figure of Persephone, intended for the new Bexhill Pavillion. The scheme however was never fully realised, possibly because of WW2.
