In 1976 the journalist Stein ove Grønsund suggested to colleagues that Michael Rothenstein be commissioned to produce a mural scheme for the entrance hall to Fredrikstad s Instutt for Journalistikk. The final result, still in situ, consists of four separate images, drawn from fragments of Norwegian, English and American newsprint, heat pressed and hung together to make a big mural panel. Each individual screenprint was subsequently given a small edition run of twelve.
